موزه چهل ستون
After the rest, we went to one of most beautiful places, “The Chehelsotoon museum”. In this place it was hardly a sign for the previous snow, the weather was nice, warm and sunny.
The name “Chehelsotoon” is Persian and means “Forty columns”. It was given because of the twenty wooden columns, supporting the main pavilion, which reflection in the waters of the pool make them forty.
The palace was build by Shah Abbas II, and completed in 1646. Ali Qapu palace, situated in its territory contains many frescoes, pictures and ceramic panels with historical scenes.
The whole place has the magical spirit of the ancient times and the splendor of the Persian culture. The huge garden and the pool is impressive, as well as the famous golden honeycomb shaped facade.
